About Us
About Us

Don't Spy On Us was a coalition of the most influential organisations who defend privacy, free expression and digital rights in the UK and in Europe.

We came together to fight back against the system of unfettered mass state surveillance that Edward Snowden exposed.  Don't Spy On Us called for independent inquiries into Snowden's revelations and new legislation that would put an end to mass surveillance. We campaigned against the UK's introduction of an extreme surveillance law, the Investigatory Powers Act. Since this law passed, the Don't Spy on Us coalition has formally ended. However, the coalition's executive and affiliates are still challenging the threats to free speech and privacy caused by mass surveillance.
